ARCHBISHOP WALSH HS ALUMNI INFORMATION

Archbishop Walsh Reunion 2006
The Archbishop Walsh High School Alumni Reunion is happening on August Fourth and Fifth, 2006. On Friday, August 4, 2006, there will be the dinner and dance for all classes at the Old Library Restaurant from 7:00 PM until midnight. On Saturday, August 5, 2006, there will be a mass and tour of the school at 9:00 AM. For information contact the Alumni Office at 716-372-8122 ext. 131 or fax 716-372-6707.
The Class of 1971 is planning class activities on Saturday. There will be a golf outing late morning at a local golf course. It will probably be at the Water Way Hills Golf Course, an 18-hole course located just off the Haskell Road, approximately 15 minutes east from downtown Olean. Please contact Dan Dougherty at 585-968-3919 or by e-mail at dpdoughe@dec.state.ny.us if you would like to play.
On Saturday evening there will a class party at the Irish club, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, 1421 East State Street, Olean (across from the Olean Tile Plant) starting at 7:00 PM. In Memorium: Michael Donovan
MICHAEL E. DONOVAN, 53, of COLTS NECK, died Tuesday, June 20, at home. Born in Olean, N.Y., he has lived in Monmouth County for 23 years. He was the president and founder of Donovan & Associates PC, a law firm in Holmdel. Mr. Donovan was a member of New Jersey Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Olean, N.Y., and a benefactor of Benedictine School for Children, Ridgely, Md. Mr. Donovan graduated from Archbishop Walsh High School, Olean, N.Y., the University of Rochester in 1975, and Marquette University Law School, where he earned his law degree and graduated second in his class. He was a parishioner of St. Marys Roman Catholic Church, Colts Neck.
He was predeceased by his father, Michael Edward Donovan. Surviving are his mother, Marjory Donovan. He is also survived by his wife, Celeste Elden Donovan; three sons, Michael, Brian, and John Donovan; two stepsons, Christopher and Nicholas Reardon; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Reardon; two brothers, Sean and Timothy Donovan; and two sisters, Nancy Heinle and Mary Zipf. He was a loving and generous father and husband, and he will be missed by all.

One of the gifts that was presented during the funeral mass was Mickey's Walsh helmet, that he had on a shelf in his office. The picture is of Ed Krieger with Mick's oldest step son after the service.
